Jim Scott (Virginia)

James Martin "Jim" Scott (born June 11, 1938) is an American politician. A Democrat, he was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November 1991. He served on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors 1972–86. Scott announced that he would not run for reelection in 2013. He endorsed Marcus Simon, his former aide, as his successor.
